Blade Runner 2049 Sound Design / Foley Demonstration
This project contains a full sound design of a clip from the film Blade Runner 2049 directed by Denis Villeneuve. The chosen clip has many exciting sounds and atmospheres. The nature of the clip contains a distinct ambiance of grain and sand sounds. This makes recording sound and editing different compared to other times. Sounds such as the mechanical hover cars and the ruble from explosions were intricate. Audio from the 2 minutes 46-second clip is recorded through a Tascam DR-05X, an iPhone speaker at times (giving audio more dull sound), and a Rhode Podcaster microphone. The tracks have been imported into Logic Pro X for assembly. Audio components include dialogue, voice-over, ambiance, sound effects, and foley. These sounds were created with various items around my home. Audio tracks were edited with effects such as reverb, echo, EQ, and filters. Rocks, paper, clothing, kicking boxes, vocals, and various items around my house. All sounds and music are created by Lex Colton.
